Jupiter and Mars 20/4/14

Peter Hill

Made the most of the last week or so with clear skies to capture images of Jupiter and Mars.

(I) The Io transit image is a re-tweak of one posted earlier definitely shadow transit not sure whether Io is there or an artifact.

(II) x3 o GRS shows how all the atmospheric disturbance is magnified as well, but by this time Jupiter was above the flat roof of the garage which was definitely radiating after the warm day we had.

(III) Mars was very bright on the 18th and the x1 image shows cloud bands in the Hellas basin as well as to the E & W, worked better visually when i used a Nd filter
