NGC 1499 (California Nebula)

19/2/2016

Geoff Dryland

Last night was clear but a bright moon. So decided to go for a bright Nebula using narrowband filters. Here are the results in Ha, RGB and Hubble palette.

For those that like the tech details:

Ha: 13x10min

O3: 2x10min

S2: 6x10min

The reason for the O3 only being 20 minutes is that I couldn't see anything on the individual subs. The only time something appeared was in the Hubble palette. I'll have to go back and get some more O3 data, but this coming week does not look promising!
